This is going to be my only LA show for 6 whole months! We’re going to radio next month so I’m gonna be on the road a lot this year, which I am SO excited about! We’re taking “Melt Into You” to radio later this month! The only down side is I won’t be able to play in LA as often as I used to. I hope you can make it to this one since it’s going to be my only So Cal show in SO long. The show is all ages, and I’ll be playing with Frentik and Petree. We’ll be playing some new songs from My Personal Sky The Deluxe Edition, and I can’t wait for you to hear them! Please come out and show your support. This is my first headliner at The Roxy so bring all your friends, fill up your car and have a glorious Sunday night with me and my amazing/hilarious/wonderful band. The show is all ages, doors open at 7:30 pm and we will be playing at 8:30. We can’t wait to see you! Presale tickets are available @http://www.ticketmaster.com/venue/73780&?brand=roxy

Wow… I can’t believe how fast 30 days has gone by. We started out in Los Angeles, and made our way through our first Midwest tour. We had so many crazy times on this tour, and I can’t wait to be on the road again in May. Let’s see, on tour I’ve learned that I don’t do well with ice. I have terrible coordination on dry land …but I have the coordination of a very very drunk person on ice. I fell multiple times, but never on my face so it’s all good! David (my violinist) ate shit getting out of the van once, and Mike (my drummer) fell really hard in front of a hotel… which was hilarious… Wish we could have gotten those on the flip cam. That would have been amazing. My iPhone caught on FIRE for no reason, literally no one knows how that happened, and David’s laptop caught on fire as well, so that was pretty interesting. We played some really amazing shows. I got to play at The Hard Rock Cafe in Nashville with my dear friend James Slater. We wrote “Beautiful Day,” “Every Heart” and “Mama” together and he is just amazing. He opened the show and I cried not once, but twice during his set. His songwriting is brilliant and his lyrics just kill me. He’s so inspiring and it was SO nice to see him. I should be out in Nashville sometime in April to write with him so we’ll have more Haze/Slater songs very soon! We also got to play at SXSW in Austin where we shared a one bedroom apartment with Frank and Derrel. They are an LA based band, and one of the members is Brandy Cyrus (Miley Cyrus’ Sister) so that was interesting. We had 10 people sharing a one bedroom apartment with one bathroom. Cold showers are something I definitely got used to on this tour. We saw a band at SXSW called Neon Trees and they were amazing. Everyone must check them out. That was one of the best rock shows I’ve ever seen, and I got to meet some of the guys from the band and they were so nice. They are gonna be HUGE one day so check them out. I’m really sad that the tour is over, I miss my band and Svenn (Our touring van…it started out as The Shine Van and it’s name is now Svenn). Thank you to everyone who came out to our shows and supported us. We hope to see you very very soon! We’ll be back when the weather is a little bit nicer… I promise :)

So I sit here in my workout clothes, trying to do anything but cardio, so I think I’ll burn some calories by blogging :) The Jack’s Mannequin show was so amazing. They are just brilliant and their show made me dance all night. They didn’t play my favorite song “Dark Blue,” but I guess I’ll forgive them because well… they’re awesome. I got to meet all of the guys and they’re all so nice and funny. You can see pics on my facebook page so check it out! I hope I get to play more shows with them in the future… But on another note, now when you sign up for my newsletter, we will send you a free exclusive track that only people on my mailing list get so sign up if you’re not already on there. Ok… I guess it’s time for me to put on my Skechers and go to the gym.

I had way too much fun last night. I got to play at The Avalon Ballroom, which I’ve always wanted to play, see amazing fashion shows and hang out with Jessie James (who is so sweet by the way). I got to walk the red carpet, which is very, VERY new to me and I took lots of pics! I was so nervous, I turned to my publicist and was like, what do I do?? Thankfully, I didn’t fall on my face or embarrass myself in any way so the Red Carpet was a success! The show was amazing, we had a bit of technical difficulty, but the crowd didn’t seem to mind and the night was just amazing. I didn’t get much sleep last night so I’m off to bed, I gotta get ready for my big day tomorrow :)

Well this year was my first year at Sundance and it was amazing. Being in Park City is like living in a beautiful snow globe. The houses are adorable, the snow was always falling, it looked just perfect. I didn’t know exactly what to pack or what to expect. I brought pumps and dresses with tights, but Park City was way too cold for that, so I was basically stuck in the same outfit everyday! I guess I just thought that the weather doesn’t change outside of Southern California… even if it is snowing! While I was packing, my mom kept trying to stuff Dumb and Dumber looking snow clothes in my bag, but there was no way I was going to wear that stuff. I’ve always been stubborn so my mom’s used to it, and 80’s snow clothes just isn’t the look for me :) We got stuck in a snow storm, I got lots of fun swag and I got to play shows with Tyler and Hilton and Matt Scannell from Vertical Horizon. I also got altitude sickness, but hey I grew up at the beach and my body can’t handle altitude at all. All in all, Sundance was really fun, next year I’ll be sure to buy some cute snow clothes and I’ll make sure I make time for sledding and snowball fights!
