Well this year was my first year at Sundance and it was amazing. Being in Park City is like living in a beautiful snow globe. The houses are adorable, the snow was always falling, it looked just perfect. I didn’t know exactly what to pack or what to expect. I brought pumps and dresses with tights, but Park City was way too cold for that, so I was basically stuck in the same outfit everyday! I guess I just thought that the weather doesn’t change outside of Southern California… even if it is snowing! While I was packing, my mom kept trying to stuff Dumb and Dumber looking snow clothes in my bag, but there was no way I was going to wear that stuff. I’ve always been stubborn so my mom’s used to it, and 80’s snow clothes just isn’t the look for me
We got stuck in a snow storm, I got lots of fun swag and I got to play shows with Tyler and Hilton and Matt Scannell from Vertical Horizon. I also got altitude sickness, but hey I grew up at the beach and my body can’t handle altitude at all. All in all, Sundance was really fun, next year I’ll be sure to buy some cute snow clothes and I’ll make sure I make time for sledding and snowball fights!

OK so this is totally hilarious and I think at this point, everyone’s guilty pleasure is officially Jersey Shore. Check out this video, it’s little kids reenacting the show and it’s kind of amazing.

This weekend was totally crazy. I turned 20 on Friday, January 15th and I had such an amazing weekend with my friends. I did end up losing my phone, but I guess that’s the price you pay for having too much fun on your birthday! The next day I got to play at Namm because I’m sponsored by Sennheiser. I got to play at their booth and reunite with my old friends from Raining Jane. They are seriously amazing and you NEED to check them out. I also had a feature in the Daily Breeze this week, you should check it out http://www.dailybreeze.com/ci_14194114. I used to live in Redondo Beach so it was really cool to be featured in their local newspaper. And to end this crazy weekend, I’m playing Brixton tonight with some of my favorite LA artists, Shannon Curtis and Paulie Pesh. The show starts tonight at 7 and I definitely think you should come. We will be selling new merchandise like posters and lyrics books so check it out!
Through January 25, buy My Personal Sky at Bandcamp and all proceeds will go towards Haitian Earthquake Relief. Visit http://www.sarahaze.com/haitian-relief for details.
Oh Snap. Guess whose going to Sundance! I’m so excited to go to Park City and experience this event first hand. I’ve heard so many amazing things about Sundance and I just can’t wait to get out there so I can get in snowball fights with Directors, Actors and Tyler Hilton! Hahaha Just kidding! But anyways, I’ll be playing lots of Koffeehouse Showcases with talented artists like Tyler Hilton, Shawn Hlookoff, Mandi Perkins and many more. I’ll be out there next weekend so if you’re there check out the tour schedule and come out to a show, after we can build a snowman!
Ooo I am so excited. I just found out that I’m opening for A Fine Frenzy. “Goodbye My Almost Lover” is one of my favorites. I seriously love depressing break up songs more than anything. Is that bad?? We’re playing at The Dakota Lounge Monday, December 14th at 7 pm. I can’t wait. Shawn Hlookoff and Green River Ordinance are also on the show so it should be a good one. Hopefully I’ll see you there!

I am so sad to say that I am already back home in California. I miss the East Coast already. Unfortunately, Ernie Halter had to go home because his mother is in the hospital, and family always comes first. Hopefully we’ll be able to reschedule the tour and put together some more shows next year. We are all so sorry about this, but I promise I’ll make it up to you and be in your town soon
